What is the warranty for vinyl cladding?

Austech offers a 50 year Warranty for its Select premium vinyl cladding. High standards of manufacture and quality control ensure that warranty issues rarely arise.

Can vinyl cladding be painted?

It is not recommended to paint vinyl cladding as it will void the warranty, you may also run the risk of the paint cracking or peeling. If you are looking to match an existing colour call your nearest Austech store for a colour splotch.

What surfaces are suitable for cladding?

We can clad over nearly every type of surface, some of these include fibro, weatherboards, corrugated iron, concrete, brick and artificial brick.

How much does it cost to clad the average size home?

Unfortunately we cannot give exact prices as every house is different. We are more than happy to give you a free quote. Just send your house measurements to and we will get back to you with an approximate price.

How do I clean vinyl cladding?

Mild soap and water is recommended occasionally to retain Vinyl Cladding’s new look.

What benefits will external wall cladding provide for my home?

Exterior wall cladding will improve insulation, reduce maintenance and add beauty and value to your home. Many types of environmentally friendly cladding will increase the thermal efficiency of your home, making it warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Reducing outside noise will also be improved by the application of insulated vinyl cladding.

How does vinyl cladding compare with other external building materials?

In a way, it’s almost no contest. When compared to brick, wood, stone, stucco, and metal cladding on the basis of initial cost, maintenance costs, appearance, durability and value, vinyl cladding is clearly superior. Vinyl Cladding never needs painting or staining. It doesn’t chip, peel, dent or rot, so you can forget costly repairs. Just rinse occasionally with a garden hose.

How thick is the insulated foam?

The foam on the back of the vinyl cladding boards can come in 20mm and 30mm. The option of foil is also available, for that little bit of extra insulation.
